I am an integrative psychotherapist in private practice, seeing clients both online and in-person in Walthamstow. I offer sessions in English and Greek. Although my initial background was in finance and banking, my own transformative experiences of long-term therapy led me to retrain as a therapist. I did my training with Re-Vision, gaining my Diploma in Integrative-Transpersonal Counselling and later the Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative-Transpersonal Psychotherapy.

I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and accredited with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). I adhere to their Ethical Framework and Code of Ethics respectively, have regular supervision for my client work, as well as over 50 hours career- and-professional development annually.

The COVID19 pandemic and the sense of disembodiment that it brought led me to develop my skills as an embodied therapist with the Institute for Embodied Psychotherapy, gaining the Certificate in Embodied Psychotherapy Practice. Since then, embodiment and working with the body have been central features in my clinical practice, opening up new and creative ways of working with clients in this way.

Prior to training a therapist, I volunteered as a HIV-prevention mentor with the Metro Charity, and later as a trainee therapist with the charity MIND for over three years. During this placement, I offered short and long-term therapy to clients of all different backgrounds, class, gender, sexual orientation, race, and individuals with a wide range of issues.

As part of my psychotherapy training, I completed an 8-week Mental Health Familiarisation Placement with the charity Look Ahead supporting male clients with complex mental health needs, including dual diagnoses and severe forensic histories.

I have experience working with individuals who have suffered from depression, loss of meaning, relationship difficulties, exploring their sexual orientation, spiritual crisis, existential crisis as well as covert and overt sexual abuse, prolonged developmental trauma, depersonalisation, (toxic) shame and stigma.

I have in-depth clinical experience and have researched extensively the often less visible and less talked-about wounding stemming from a difficult or absent relationship with the father. I have been and can support clients of all genders with coming to terms and moving past the impact that such wounding has had in their capacity to orient themselves towards the future with confidence and courage, and to live authentic, meaningful lives.

I also have extensive experience of the 12-step recovery programmes and I have supported clients overcoming addiction in this way. The combination of therapy alongside a 12-step programme can be truly transformative and life-affirming.

I am particularly interested in the interplay/intersection of personal, generational and collective trauma and how all these different strands find their way into the difficulties clients bring into therapy. I am particularly attuned to internalised collective narratives of oppression and stigma wherever they come from, and I view therapy as a powerful process for challenging those narratives and thus a vehicle not only for personal but also political, societal and collective change.
